PLEASE read Firstlife before reading Lifeblood.

To say this book was amazing would be an insult. Lifeblood, the second book in the Everlife trilogy was a phenomenal addition. I couldn't stop reading.Ten Lockwood, our heroine from book one has made her choice as to where she is going to spend her Everlife. Now she is learning how to fit into a whole new world. Many things change while so many stay the same. The action was kicked up a notch and the amount of pressure on our heroine was too. Ten made many new friends and enemies. Her struggles are more within herself, always fighting with what is right and wrong.

Considering everything that happens in the first book I was expecting to lose a little momentum in the story line. However I was wrong. Showalter knows what she is doing. I found myself having to reread a few of the action scenes just to keep up with what happening. It is very fast paced at times but not in a bad way. With everything that was going on in a short amount of time Showalter kept things moving without sacrificing any details. The never-ending war that was behind the scenes in the first book was thrown right at our main character.

Without giving away anything from the first book, this review has been a challenge to write. I want to share every amazing detail with you but I won't take away the joy of reading this yourself. I highly recommend reading Lifeblood. I can't wait to read the last book of this trilogy. I just hope we don't have to wait too long.
